Blanka Amezcua

Blanka Amezcua is a Mexican-born, Latinx American artist, educator, and cultural promoter based in New York City. Her interdisciplinary practice centers on the immigrant experience, blending ancestral wisdom with contemporary themes through mixed media, papel picado (Mexican paper-cutting), and installation. She has exhibited at major institutions including MoMA PS1, The Bronx Museum of the Arts, Queens Museum, and El Museo del Barrio, and continues to create community-engaged art projects and curate exhibitions focused on immigrant rights and Latinx culture.
