Cheryl Capezzuti

Cheryl Capezzuti is a Pittsburgh-based sculptor and puppetmaker who specializes in creating large-scale puppets and sculptures from dryer lint and other discarded materials. Since 2020, she has refocused her studio practice on dryer lint sculpture, creating over 100 new works that explore domesticity, environment, memory and loss. She serves as master teacher at the University of Pittsburgh's Falk Laboratory School and is the creative director of First Night Pittsburgh's annual New Year's Eve parade.
