David Bayus

David Bayus (b. 1982, Johnson City, TN) is a San Francisco-based artist whose cross-disciplinary practice centers on experimental filmmaking exploring the dualistic relationship between science and spirituality. He is a professor at San Jose State University teaching experimental film and 3D modeling/animation, and co-founder of BASEMENT art collective in San Francisco's Mission District. His work has been exhibited at major institutions including Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and is held in collections at LACMA, MOCA Los Angeles, MoMA, and the Whitney Museum.
