Janice Lessman-Moss is an Emeritus Professor at Kent State University and a celebrated textile artist whose practice explores the interconnection of abstract systems through the binary language of the computer and loom. She creates digital jacquard weavings that integrate silk, linen, and metal wire, composing geometric patterns inspired by walking and natural rhythms. She was awarded a United States Artists Fellowship in 2019, the Cleveland Arts Prize Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Ohio Governor's Award for the Arts in 2016.
