Jiyoung Yoo

Jiyoung Yoo (b. 1991) is a Seoul and London-based painter who graduated from Hongik University with a BFA in Painting and the Slade School of Fine Art with an MA in Painting. She studies artificial orders and systems found in everyday life, observing and collaging various forms of objects such as eggs, water cups, manuscripts, calendars, and clocks that are often categorized as one unit or assembled as a bundle. Her unique practice highlights the idea of relations in paintings, visually intersecting and limiting the conditions of systems that each object has.
