Kajsa G. Eriksson

Kajsa G. Eriksson (b. 1965) is a Swedish visual artist based in Gothenburg who holds a Ph.D. in Design (2010) and served as professor in visual art at Akademin HDK-Valand (2018-2021). She specializes in using naturally-occurring pigments and works with site-specific, participatory, and performative artistic methods. Since 2013, she has been running Vague Research Studios in Gothenburg, where she conducts collaborative artistic research projects. Her recent exhibition 'Shared Magma' at Brown University's John Hay Library (on display until August 2026) features watercolors made with iron-based pigments exploring geological connections between Rhode Island and Sweden.
