Monica Mages

Monica Mages is a Courtland, Minnesota-based oil painter who began painting seriously after recovering from leukemia in 2010. She works in both studio and plein air techniques, creating vibrant landscape paintings that capture colors from nature. In November 2025, she presented her first formal gallery showing at Lykke Books in New Ulm, featuring more than 47 original oil paintings.
