Samantha Yun Wall (b. 1977, Seoul) is a Korean-American visual artist based in Portland, Oregon, who creates drawings that explore her transcultural identity as a Black Korean immigrant. She primarily works with ink delicately layered on Dura-lar and clay-coated board, drawing inspiration from female archetypes in global mythologies and folktales. Wall won the 2024 Betty Bowen Award and has had recent solo exhibitions at the Frye Art Museum and Seattle Art Museum, with representation by Russo Lee Gallery in Portland and Timothy Hawkinson Gallery.
