Shanon Rose

Sheena Rose (b. 1985) is a Barbados-based multidisciplinary artist whose vibrant paintings depict Black figures engaged in athletic feats and leisure activities using a distinctive graphic style reminiscent of 1970s design. Her work has been exhibited internationally including at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (2024-2025), the Lowe Museum, and major biennials in Havana, Venice, and Berlin. Rose holds an MFA from UNC Greensboro and is a Fulbright Scholar.
