Terri Dowell-Dennis

Terri Dowell-Dennis is a multidisciplinary artist and former museum educator based in North Carolina whose work explores Southern and Appalachian craft traditions, women's roles, and religious texts. She works across multiple media including sculpture, relief printmaking, textiles, quilts, and installation art, having received two North Carolina Arts Council Fellowships. Her recent exhibitions include 'Thinking Through Making' at SECCA (2021) and shows in 2023 and 2025, with work that transforms everyday objects into powerful narratives addressing themes of gender, spirituality, and social justice.
