Art Reach Mid Michigan Community Programs & Classes

Join Art Reach of Mid Michigan for inclusive art classes, workshops, and community programs in downtown Mt. Pleasant since 1981.

Art Reach of Mid Michigan, located at 111 E. Broadway Street in Mt. Pleasant, has been promoting arts involvement and appreciation in the mid-Michigan region since 1981. As the only nonprofit art organization in Isabella County, they offer a comprehensive range of programming designed to be accessible regardless of ability or financial resources. The organization provides tuition-based classes for adults and children of all ages, ranging from one-time fun sessions to skill-building courses spanning 4-12 weeks focused on specific art mediums. They currently offer an average of six classes per week, significantly expanded from their original four to six classes per month. Special programs include overnight adult family art camps focused on non-traditional art, and the Club Create program specifically designed for adults with developmental or cognitive impairments, meeting twice monthly. Art Reach also features the Morey Family Gallery with rotating exhibits, a retail gift shop, private parties, community programs and festivals. The organization prides itself on community collaboration, partnering with other nonprofits, for-profits, and municipalities. With approximately 50-55% of Isabella County's population living in poverty or as ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) households, Art Reach works to make arts programming accessible rather than viewed as a luxury, believing art is a critical component of self-actualization and community strength.
