CIF Art Grant Program in Canada

$85 grant for Vancouver artists with mental health experience to purchase art supplies. Four times yearly.

The Spotlight on Mental Health offers the CIF Art Grant Program, providing $85 grants four times per year to help artists purchase art supplies. This meaningful opportunity is specifically designed for Vancouver residents who have lived or living experience with mental health and/or substance use challenges. To be eligible, applicants must be adults (18+), residents of Vancouver, have a specific art project in mind, and not have received this grant within the last two years. The application process is straightforward with two options: download and complete the digital form, or print and fill it by hand. All qualified applications are carefully reviewed, and recipients are randomly selected through a draw conducted the week after each deadline. Every applicant receives notification of the outcome via email or phone, ensuring complete transparency. This grant represents more than just financial support—it's an investment in the creative expression of individuals who have faced mental health or substance use challenges, helping bring their artistic visions to life while fostering community connection through art.
