Day of the Dead Pop-Up Exhibition at St. George Museum

The St. George Museum of Art is accepting submissions for its annual Day of the Dead Celebration, featuring a special pop-up exhibition running October 30–November 1. This community favorite event invites local artists to contribute works inspired by Día de los Muertos traditions. Artists may submit up to two pieces that reflect the themes and spirit of this significant cultural celebration. All submitted works will go through a jury process, and selected artists will be contacted with specific drop-off details for their pieces. The pop-up exhibition is described as an important element that enhances what has become a truly unmissable community event. The celebration culminates with a cultural event on Saturday, November 1, from 5–8 PM at the Museum of Art. This finale features live dance performances, children's crafts, a community ofrenda, food trucks, horchata, face painting, and other cultural activities. The event showcases local talent, thoughtfulness, inspiration and joy within the St. George community. The St. George Museum of Art is located at 47 E. 200 N., St. George (across from the Main Street U.S. Post Office) and is open Monday–Saturday, 11 AM–6 PM. This opportunity allows artists to participate in meaningful cultural programming while gaining exhibition experience and community exposure.

Submission Guidelines

Artists may submit up to two pieces inspired by Día de los Muertos. Works will be juried and selected artists will be contacted with drop-off details.

How to Apply

1. Create up to 2 artworks inspired by Día de los Muertos themes

2. Submit your work through the museum's submission portal before October 15

3. Wait for jury selection results and drop-off instructions if accepted
