Going Places Juried Exhibition at Mystic Museum

The Mystic Museum of Art is calling for entries to their juried exhibition "Going Places," inviting artists to explore their own experiences with migration and movement through their artwork. This exhibition recognizes that each person is shaped by the paths they have traveled and the journeys of those who came before them. The theme encompasses a broad range of interpretations, from family recipes and traditions passed down from ancestral homelands, to souvenirs collected during travels abroad, to plants in New England gardens that originated from distant countries. Artists are encouraged to interpret "Going Places" in whatever way resonates with their personal experience and artistic vision. The exhibition welcomes all media including photography, providing artists with complete creative freedom in how they choose to express the theme of migration and movement. However, AI-generated artwork will not be accepted for this exhibition. The submission deadline is October 19, 2025, giving artists ample time to create or select works that speak to themes of journey, migration, and the ways we are all shaped by movement through life and place.
Submission Guidelines
All media welcome including photography. No AI artwork will be accepted. Artists should explore themes of migration and going places.
