LASTA Festival - Young Curators Program 2025

Ireland's youth-led national arts festival seeking emerging curators aged 18-25 to collaborate with major venues nationwide.

LASTA Festival is Ireland's only youth-led national arts festival, returning for its fourth edition in October 2025. This unique opportunity places young curators and artists at the heart of programming decisions across seven major venues nationwide. Each year, emerging curators aged 18-25 are selected through an open call to collaborate with prestigious partner venues including Backstage Theatre (Longford), Dunamaise Arts Centre (Portlaoise), glór (Ennis), An Grianán Theatre (Letterkenny), Lime Tree Theatre | Belltable (Limerick), Siamsa Tíre (Tralee), and Town Hall Theatre (Galway). Selected curators work under experienced mentorship throughout a full year, developing essential skills in programming, curation, and collaboration. The program culminates in a month-long festival featuring bold new theatre, performance, dance, music and film that reflects the energy, curiosity, and ambition of Ireland's next generation of arts professionals. This year's program offers audiences insight into cultural conversations happening among young people in Ireland today, creating a platform that speaks with authentic youthful perspective while maintaining professional standards.
