Paul C. Rhyne Art Competition 2025

Annual art competition with $500 Best of Show prize, open to artists 18+ in multiple mediums. Exhibit runs Nov 6-29 at Lincoln Cultural Center.

The Lincoln Cultural Center presents the annual Paul C. Rhyne Art Competition, featuring a public exhibition from November 6-29, 2025. This prestigious competition welcomes artists 18 and older to submit work across multiple categories including paintings, drawings, sculpture, jewelry, photography, printmaking, and fiber arts. The competition offers substantial prize money with $500 for Best of Show, $250 for first place, $150 for second place, $100 for third place, three honorable mentions at $50 each, and a special Sponsor Award by Rhyne Financial. Artists may submit up to three entries for a $50 fee. The awards ceremony and opening reception will be held Thursday, November 13 at 6 p.m. Named after Paul C. Rhyne, a lifelong Lincolnton resident and arts supporter, this competition has been endowed by the Rhyne Family and continues to showcase the exceptional talent within the community. The Arts Council of Lincoln County emphasizes that this exhibition demonstrates the amazing level of art and artists in their area, making it a must-see event for both participants and the public.

Submission Guidelines

Artists must be 18 or older. Up to 3 entries allowed per artist. $50 submission fee required. Submissions accepted in categories: paintings, drawings, sculpture, jewelry, photography, printmaking, and fiber arts. Entry forms available at Lincoln Cultural Center or via email.

How to Apply

1. Step 1: Obtain entry forms from Lincoln Cultural Center at 403 East Main Street or email junmor61@gmail.com

2. Step 2: Prepare up to 3 artworks in eligible categories and complete submission forms

3. Step 3: Submit entries at Lincoln Cultural Center on Oct 28, 29, or 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with $50 fee
