Paul Mall Alley Artist Display Project 2026/2027
Six visual artists sought for ongoing public art displays in downtown Sault Ste. Marie's Paul Mall Alley as part of the Downtown Arts Tour.
The City of Sault Ste. Marie is seeking six visual artists for the Paul Mall Alley Display Project for 2026/2027. This promotional opportunity offers local and regional artists the chance to showcase their work in dedicated display units located in the Paul Mall Alley downtown area. The project provides artists with an ongoing public space to display and promote their artwork, giving them valuable exposure in a high-traffic pedestrian area. Selected artists will become part of the City's Downtown Arts Tour, expanding their reach and connecting them with both locals and visitors exploring the downtown cultural scene. The display units offer a unique opportunity for sustained visibility, allowing artists to maintain a presence in the downtown core throughout the project period. This initiative supports the local arts community by providing accessible exhibition space and helps enhance the cultural vibrancy of Sault Ste. Marie's downtown district. Artists from both local and regional areas are encouraged to apply for this competitive opportunity that combines artistic expression with community engagement and cultural tourism.
