Taibhsín Residency & Seed Bursary Opportunities 2025

An Taibhdhearc in Galway is offering two professional artist development opportunities for 2025-2026. The Taibhsín Residency provides up to six months of support between September 2025 and September 2026, including an artist fee of €8,500, dedicated development space, dramaturgical support, and access to professional networks and events. Two residencies will be awarded to successful applicants. The Taibhsín Seed Bursary offers €3,000 to support research and idea development, with optional dramaturgical consultation and access to development space. Four bursaries will be awarded, and projects must be completed by March 2026. Both opportunities are specifically designed for theatre makers, writers, and performance-based artists who are committed to developing work through the Irish language. Applicants must be over 18 years old and can submit their applications in written, audio, or video format, providing flexibility for different creative approaches. These opportunities represent significant support for Irish language theatre and performance, offering both financial backing and professional development resources to help artists advance their creative projects.
