TREX Southeast Open Call for Artists

Exhibition opportunity for southeast Alberta artists of all backgrounds and experience levels through provincial travelling program.

The Alberta Foundation for the Arts' Travelling Exhibition program in southeast Alberta (TREX Southeast) has issued an open call for exhibition proposals from artists based in the regional program area. Administered by the City of Medicine Hat, TREX Southeast strives to curate exhibitions that highlight diverse stories, themes, artistic mediums and voices from the region. Artists of all backgrounds and experience levels are invited to submit exhibition proposals. The TREX program focuses on locality and community, specifically featuring artists who live and work in Alberta. For over 40 years, this provincial program has curated exhibitions and distributed them to communities across the province, with displays often occurring in non-traditional gallery spaces such as schools and libraries. The goal is to make professionally curated exhibitions of Albertan artwork accessible for all to experience and enjoy, while supporting the work of Albertan artists. TREX Southeast is one of four regional TREX partners managing this Alberta Foundation for the Arts program.
