'We Are Icarus' Climate Art Contest

Climate-focused art contest seeking visions of a resilient future, with monetary prizes and social media features through COP30 campaign.

The CLEO Institute's 'We Are Icarus' art contest is part of the larger 'Our Present, Icarus' Future' multimedia climate activism campaign launched during Climate Week NYC. This contest invites artists to envision the future worth fighting for through their artwork, focusing on themes like resilient cities, clean energy solutions, and healthy thriving communities for children of today. The contest runs from September 21 to October 31 and is designed to amplify artistic voices in the climate conversation leading up to COP30. Selected works will be featured across The CLEO Institute's social media channels, providing significant exposure for participating artists. The winning artist will receive a monetary prize and be highlighted as part of the broader campaign that aims to influence world leaders at the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference. This opportunity combines artistic expression with climate advocacy, allowing artists to contribute meaningful work to an important global conversation about environmental action and policy change.
