Between Air and Earth: Winifred McNeill - Opening Reception

Opening reception for an exhibition honoring the career of Winifred McNeill, Professor Emeritus, who works at the intersection of sculpture, ceramics, assemblage, painting, and drawing. The exhibition features her 'Within Ruin' series inspired by ancient Roman art and Pompeii excavations, with pieces incorporating pumice from the 79 CE eruption of Mount Vesuvius, alongside her new 'Horizon' painting series. An Artist Talk with Dr. Marice Rose from Fairfield University will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. The public is also invited to meet the artist on Sunday, March 29 from 2-4 p.m.
