About the Exhibition
Art X Fashion explores the relationship between the worlds of Euro-American fine art and fashion from the late 18th century to the present. The exhibition features more than 140 objects, including garments, accessories, textiles, photographs, and original artworks drawn from MFIT's permanent collection, and challenges the traditional hierarchies of visual culture, presenting fashion and art each as parallel, potent expressions of social, intellectual, and creative forces.
