Constructed Patterns

Fifth-year fine arts major Owen Wilkins showcases his first solo exhibition featuring sculptural works that explore the dichotomy between order and chaos, repetition and randomness. The exhibition uses drums, drum parts, and drum accessories as pieces of iconography to represent patterns and their absence. Works include 'The Shaky Foundations of Knowledge,' made of wooden drum shells, steel drum shells, steel drum hoops, aluminum and various nuts and bolts. Wilkins' overarching message emphasizes the importance of decompressing and enjoying life with the limited time that we are given.
