Dance of the Machine

This comprehensive exhibition features more than 50 Sternberg prints, including works from the San Diego Museum of Art and local collections. The artist was known for his work depicting industrial life in America, including murals he did for the Works Progress Administration. Harry Sternberg was a world-renowned artist, known around the globe for his prints and paintings, with his work first appearing at the Whitney Museum of American Art in 1931, when he was just 27. The exhibition showcases Sternberg's mastery of various printmaking techniques including etching, lithography, silkscreen and woodcut.
