FULL MOON
Richard Long
Starting December 9, 2025
About the Exhibition
A solo exhibition featuring Richard Long's diverse artistic practice spanning multiple mediums including clay works, stone arrangements, wall texts, chromogenic prints, and slate works. The centerpiece is Full Moon (2025), a huge clay wall work representing the moon 335 inches in diameter that covers the northern wall and reaches up to the fourth floor. The exhibition explores the nature-culture dialectic and demonstrates Long's engagement with walking, time, space, natural materials, and landscape art. This is the final exhibition for Sperone Westwater Gallery after fifty years of prominence in the New York art world.
