The collection belongs to avid concertgoer and obsessive poster collector Larry Cartmell, who over the last 50 years saved posters from walls, kept handbills from shows, and built one of the most comprehensive private collections of concert posters in the region. Collector Larry Cartmell has iconic posters that include original artwork from poster artists and events including: Jim Franklin (Armadillo Man from Austin), Woodstock, Willie Nelson's Picnic, Janice Joplin, ZZ Top, Waco's First African-American baseball team, a Jim Franklin movie, Classie Ballou, Hank Thompson, and much more with music from Texas Music Hall of Fame Legend Freddie Steady Krc.
