About the Exhibition
The First-Year MFA Exhibition at the School of Art, 'Kitchen Sink,' chosen after most of the featured art was completed, is an attempt to encompass the wide range of represented themes and materials. 'Kitchen Sink' treats the gallery as a space of infinite creative potential, the perimeters of which are intended to be ignored. The show features works from across disciplines, from video to sculpture. The sequence of works is not organized by theme or material but instead produces a welcome sense of artistic whiplash.
