Mawte: Bound Together

The exhibition offers an exhibit entirely from Indigenous perspectives. It formulates concepts, presents work, and creates displays directly and wholly from Indigenous perspectives, with a non-Indigenous staff curator serving only as a fulcrum for achieving the exhibition's objectives within the Colby system. The show gathers a dozen artists invited by Penobscot basketmaker Sarah Sockbeson to co-create every aspect of the show.
