New Exhibit Draws Nature Close
About the Exhibition
A multimedia exhibition featuring the works of Nanci Worthington and Margaret Bruzelius, both artists who draw inspiration from the natural world. Worthington has spent decades drawing butterflies as well as flora and fauna from her Berkshire home, practicing nature journaling and creating detailed nature illustrations for Audubon publications. Her butterfly drawings demonstrate meticulous use of color pencils applied layer upon layer to achieve a near-3D quality. Margaret Bruzelius employs a variety of textile skills, up-cycling old woolen articles of clothing into felt through a labor-intensive process, creating hooked rugs and wall-hangings. Both artists present examples of how imagination and skill can capture the magnificence of nature.
