About the Exhibition

A remarkable cross-cultural collaboration featuring Duncan Berry's gyotaku (fish rubbing) prints on mulberry paper and mounted birch panels, created in collaboration with Ngui Klathale and members of the Surin Moken Tribe. The exhibition showcases Berry's recent fascination with incorporating 24-karat gold into his gyotaku art, including works such as 'Twin Albacore Tuna - 60 Miles off the Oregon Coast' and 'Golden Enso and Yellow Cedar' made up of eight sheets of 24 karat gold. The collection includes both solo works and collaborative 'buddy printed' images from eight days of printing with the tribal village.
