About the Exhibition

A solo exhibition featuring a series of oil paintings, works on paper and digital works by New York City-based artist Kevin Cobb. The exhibition explores the distortions of the digital world and the physicality of one's perspective, with the title referencing the physical process through which millions of nerve fibers at the back of one's retina process images. Notable works include 'Spatium Interiorem,' a 60 inch tondo positioning the viewer behind Cobb's retina, 'RainbowPumpkin,' which places the viewer within the artist's eyeballs, and 'Ekstasis,' featuring the artist as a hieroglyph. The work incorporates Latin titles, Bible verses, and Egyptian iconography.
