About the Exhibition
A solo exhibition by Brooklyn artist Charis Ammon that transforms bodegas, take-out spots and thrift stores into massive paintings. Several paintings stretch nearly eight-by-twelve feet—almost the size of the storefronts themselves. The exhibition encourages viewers to be more mindful of the urban environments they navigate daily through large-scale paintings of everyday New York storefronts.
