Sensing Nanaimo
Amy Pye
Starting December 15, 2025
About the Exhibition
A light-projected circular image installation that celebrates Nanaimo through an expanded lens of human sensation, encompassing 10 senses: sight, sound, taste, touch, smell, balance, movement, temperature, direction and intuition. Each design focuses on moments tied to these themes and their place in Nanaimo, including depictions of paddle-boarders, coffee, local food and music. When viewed in the right order, the installations tell a story encouraging visitors to pause and reflect on community.
