Sisyphus

A solo exhibition of approximately 30 paintings, primarily still lifes, by artist Allen TenBusschen. The exhibition focuses on intentionality and observation, featuring still lifes and quiet spaces using familiar objects that tell a story while leaving the narrative vague enough for audience interpretation. The exhibition is titled 'Sisyphus' as a play on the task repeating, referencing the mythological king condemned to roll a boulder up a mountain, as this show is a repeat of one recently shown at Steven Francis Fine Art in downtown Lynchburg.
