This Is Native Land
Starting October 19, 2025
About the Exhibition
Using primary source documents, photographs, and objects, This is Native Land presents important events in Washington State History through an Indigenous lens. The exhibition explores Tribal sovereignty, culture, and resilience while confronting challenges that these communities face, such as boarding schools, removal from land, and cultural genocide. Through multimedia, contemporary and interactive art set alongside historical artifacts, the exhibit conveys the importance of tribal traditions in the state and continuing them today. Over 100 Native contributors from more than 60 Tribes shaped the exhibition's stories and content.
