2026 Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition

UNLV invites BA students to submit artwork for the Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition with cash awards for Juror's Choice selections.

The Donna Beam Gallery at UNLV presents the 2026 Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition, a prestigious opportunity for undergraduate BA students to showcase their artistic work. This exhibition celebrates quality artwork across diverse media and provides selected artists with recognition and monetary awards.

The exhibition is open to all UNLV BA students regardless of year of study. Artists may submit work completed during 2024 and 2025 in any medium, including drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, photography, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, illustration, digital art, and video. There is no entry fee required.

This year's juror is Matthew Couper, a renowned artist born in Aotearoa/New Zealand who now works in the Mojave Desert. His work explores themes of survival and psychological isolation through a fusion of art historical traditions including Spanish and Mexican Baroque, Russian Non-Objective art, and Italian Trecento influences. Three Juror's Choice awards will be selected, with each recipient receiving a cash prize.

The submission process is straightforward: artists submit digital entries online with high-quality images (300dpi preferred), with a maximum of 5 entries per student. Selected artworks must be physically delivered to the gallery, followed by installation. The opening reception on February 13, 2026, from 3:30-5:30 pm will feature the announcement of Juror's Choice Awards and Couper's critical commentary on exhibited works.

The exhibition runs February 13 through March 6, 2026, at the Donna Beam Fine Art Gallery, providing students with valuable exhibition experience, professional feedback from an accomplished artist, and potential monetary recognition.
