2026 Creative Europe Cooperation Projects

€60 million funding for European cooperation in cultural and creative sectors. Supports 150 projects across theatre, dance, music, heritage, and more.

The European Commission announces a significant funding opportunity under Creative Europe, the EU's flagship programme dedicated to supporting culture and creative sectors across Europe. The 2026 Call for European Cooperation Projects offers a total budget of €60 million to support approximately 150 projects engaged in a diverse range of cultural and creative activities.

This call aims to promote cross-border cooperation, capacity-building, artistic talent development, and innovative practices within the cultural sector. The programme encompasses all major creative disciplines including theatre, dance, music, cultural heritage, architecture, literature, design, and fashion.

The initiative is guided by the Culture Compass for Europe and seeks to strengthen cooperation across Europe's vibrant cultural landscape while celebrating cultural diversity, fostering inclusion, and promoting intergenerational fairness. Projects supported through this call will contribute to a more sustainable, resilient, and interconnected cultural ecosystem throughout Europe.

Participating countries include all nations involved in the Creative Europe programme. Artists, cultural organisations, and creative practitioners from eligible countries are encouraged to collaborate on innovative projects that demonstrate the potential for meaningful cultural exchange and cooperation.

The European Commission, under Commissioner Glenn Micallef for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport, emphasizes that this €60 million investment represents a powerful commitment to strengthening European cultural cooperation and supporting the next generation of creative talent.
