2026 Expressions! Juried Art Show Call for Entries
Tracy Art League invites artists 18+ to submit original artwork for the 2026 Expressions! juried exhibition at Tracy Community Center in February.
The Tracy Art League is opening calls for entries for the 2026 Expressions! juried art show, featuring an exhibition at the Tracy Community Center in February. This is an excellent opportunity for artists aged 18 and older to showcase their original artwork and compete for significant prize money.
Eligibility and Submission Requirements:
Artists must submit original artworks completed within the past two years. Previous works shown in Tracy Art League exhibits are not eligible. Artists can enter up to six entries per category across multiple disciplines including sculpture and 3D work, oil and acrylic, watercolor, pastel and drawing, graphics and mixed media, glass, and photography.
Size and Weight Restrictions:
Two-dimensional artwork cannot exceed 48 inches by 48 inches including frame. Three-dimensional artwork cannot exceed 30 inches wide by 20 inches deep and 50 inches high, with a maximum weight of 50 pounds. Artwork depicting whole or partial nudity or extreme violence will not be accepted.
Prizing and Awards:
The exhibition offers substantial prize money including a Best of Show award of $450, five Gold awards of $100 each, five Silver awards of $75 each, five Bronze awards of $50 each, and one Peoples' Choice award of $50. Additionally, the City of Tracy will issue Purchase Prize awards up to $500 for inclusion in the City Art Collection.
Juror:
The 2026 juror is Lisa Cooperman, University of the Pacific's inaugural University Curator. She oversees the university's permanent art collection and brings expertise in feminist art, museum education, and digital humanities. She previously served as Curator of Education at the Haggin Museum and is a nationally exhibiting studio artist.
Entry Fees and Timeline:
Each entry costs $25, or $20 for Tracy Art League members. Online submissions are accepted through January 6, 2026. Accepted artists will be notified on January 18. The artist reception is scheduled for February 13, with public viewing from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on February 14-15 and 4-7 p.m. on February 16-20.
