2026 Festival Suíça Bahiana Showcase Call
Open call for 18 showcase performances at Brazil's Festival Suíça Bahiana, October 17-18, 2026. Artists from all regions and countries welcome.
Festival Suíça Bahiana, now in its 16th edition, is inviting solo artists and musical groups to apply for showcase performances at the festival scheduled for October 17-18, 2026, in Vitória da Conquista, Bahia, Brazil. This is an excellent opportunity for both Brazilian and international artists to gain exposure to diverse audiences and industry professionals.
The festival will feature 18 showcase slots, with each selected act performing a 30-minute live set. Showcases are part of the official festival program and provide artists with the chance to introduce their work to audiences in Bahia, fellow musicians, festival and venue programmers, music industry professionals, and representatives from labels and companies.
Eligible genres include instrumental music, songwriting, and DJ performances. Projects must include at least one female member and feature original material. Both solo artists and groups from any region of Brazil and abroad are encouraged to apply.
Selected artists receive a performance fee of R$2,500 (approximately $470), paid within 45 days after the event. The festival provides stage infrastructure, sound and lighting with standard backline, plus accommodation with breakfast for artists traveling from other cities. However, travel and local transfer costs are the artist's responsibility.
Selected artists must sign an image release form authorizing use of photos and videos for promotional purposes, comply with copyright legislation, and provide necessary tax documentation. The festival handles ECAD payments for public performance rights. Selected participants also receive free access to other festival activities and promotion across the festival's social media and digital platforms.
Festival Suíça Bahiana is an official calendar event established by municipal law in 2020. Previous editions have featured notable artists including Emicida, Larissa Luz, Elomar, Black Pantera, Rachel Reis, and Rubel. The 2026 edition expects to attract approximately 3,000 audience members per day.
