The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center invites artists from around the world to participate in the 44th Annual Tejano Conjunto Festival en San Antonio 2026 Poster Contest. This prestigious competition seeks original poster designs that capture the spirit and energy of Conjunto music, one of Texas' most iconic musical traditions. The winning design will be featured across all festival marketing materials and promotional channels.
The contest is open to professional artists, beginners, and students from middle school through college, with no entry fees required. Participants can submit work to both open and professional categories. The overall winner receives a $2,000 prize and recognition at the festival.
Design Requirements:
- Posters must include the text "Tejano Conjunto Festival en San Antonio 2026"
- Any accordion imagery must depict a button accordion, the core instrument of Conjunto music
- Designs should visually celebrate Conjunto heritage and South Texas Tejano culture
The Tejano Conjunto Festival, established 44 years ago, is the first and longest-running Conjunto festival in the world, attracting over 10,000 fans annually from Texas, the U.S., Mexico, Europe, and Asia. The festival takes place May 14-17, 2026, at Rosedale Park in San Antonio.
Winners will be announced on February 19, 2026, with recognition and celebration during the festival on May 15, 2026.
