48th Annual Frank Stick Memorial Art Show

Dare Arts seeks artists for their 48th annual juried art exhibition opening February 6, 2026 in downtown Manteo, NC.

Dare Arts is now accepting entries for the 48th Annual Frank Stick Memorial Art Show, the longest running visual arts exhibit in Dare County. The show will open at Dare Arts Gallery in downtown Manteo at 6 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, with the opening reception running from 6 to 8 p.m., free and open to the public. The exhibition will remain on display for viewing during normal gallery hours from February 7-28.

Artists of all skill levels are encouraged to submit their most innovative work for consideration. The show will be judged by Lynne Francis, a writer, artist, and former Dare Arts gallery director with extensive artistic training including painting at The Corcoran in Washington DC, art restoration at The New School for Social Research, and life drawing under Anthony Toney at The Art Students League in NYC. Francis has previously worked with renowned printmaker Barry Moser and has had her paintings exhibited in juried shows across Massachusetts, Virginia, and North Carolina.

The Frank Stick Memorial Art Show honors Frank Stick, a preservationist and artist whose influence on the Outer Banks cemented his legacy as one of the most important figures of the 20th century in Dare County. Winners will be eligible for the distinctive Eure Best In Show Award. Artists interested in participating should visit DareArts.org/frankstickshow to access the prospectus and sign up for a specific time slot to drop off their work.
