97th Juried Art Show Signature Image
Phillips' Mill seeks artists to create signature image for 97th Annual Juried Art Show. $500 honorarium and exhibition inclusion.
Phillips' Mill Community Association is issuing a call for artists to submit work for consideration as the signature image for its 97th Annual Juried Art Show, taking place in the fall of 2026. The signature image is an artistic representation of the historic mill that will be prominently featured on all marketing and advertising materials, including postcards, advertisements, invitations, social media, banners, lawn signs, and the Phillips' Mill website.
The winning artist will receive a $500 honorarium and significant promotional exposure through press releases, social media features in The Grist newsletter, and on the Phillips' Mill website. The selected artwork will automatically be included in the juried art show, and the artist may submit additional entries to the show as outlined in the prospectus.
Artists are encouraged to explore their creativity using any medium except photography, including collages, watercolors, oils, and acrylics. Previous years' signature images have featured both whimsical and traditional depictions of the mill and its surroundings. Artists should let their inspiration guide them when creating their vision of the mill, whether depicting interior or exterior views.
Eligibility requirements include: artists must live within a 25-mile radius of Phillips' Mill, one entry per artist, and all work must be for sale. There is no submission fee. Past exhibitions can be viewed on the Phillips' Mill website at https://www.phillipsmill.org/art/art-exhibition-archives to see examples of previously selected signature images and understand the style preferences.
This opportunity provides significant visibility and exposure within the regional art community and among collectors. It is an excellent way to promote an artist's work, style, and name throughout the area.
