Adventure Exhibition - Hannibal Arts Council
Submit adventurous artwork for exhibition May 29-June 27. Celebrating Mark Twain's Tom Sawyer 150th anniversary. All mediums welcome.
The Hannibal Arts Council is inviting artists of all mediums to submit their works for 'Adventure,' an upcoming exhibition of artistic excitement running May 29-June 27, 2026. This open call welcomes both new creations and cherished works across a wide range of artistic expressions, including paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, mixed media, and more.
In celebration of the 150th anniversary of Mark Twain's 'Adventures of Tom Sawyer,' artists are tasked with creating visual adventures that take viewers on a journey somewhere only the wild of heart and spirit dare explore. The only requirement is that each piece must align with the Adventure theme.
Artists may submit up to two pieces in any medium—2-D or 3-D. This call is open to emerging and seasoned artists, ages 13 and up, from within a 50-mile radius of Hannibal. There are no entry fees or size restrictions. All work must be properly framed (if applicable) with wire for hanging. Artwork may be offered for sale.
Artwork can be dropped off at the Hannibal Arts Council on Tuesday, May 26, or Wednesday, May 27, between noon and 5 p.m. Guidelines, exhibit details, artist registration forms, and artwork labels are available on the Gallery/Exhibit Opportunities page at hannibalarts.com.
