AI Artist Cohort Grants Up to $5K
Ventura County artists invited to apply for grants up to $5,000 to create collaborative AI art projects highlighting environmental impact.
The Brill Family Foundation is calling Ventura County artists to apply for grants worth up to $5,000 to participate in an AI artist accelerator working group. This is a collaborative opportunity where selected artists will work together on projects using AI tools to highlight aspects of environmental impact they are passionate about.
The program emphasizes collaboration and thematic direction, with participants expected to work toward common goals. Contractual expectations will be clarified in advance. A limited number of artists will be selected through an interview process. Grant support of up to $5,000 is conditional upon full and successful participation in the program.
As part of the application process, artists must submit examples of previous work and describe their creative process, including the tools they use, workflow, and inspirations that shape their practice. The project includes opportunities to work with new AI tools and collaborate with other artists exploring ecology and data visualization.
Participants must be willing to adopt the thematic direction and work collaboratively with the group. This is not solely a funding opportunity but rather an invitation to be part of an active working group where grant support is tied to engagement and participation.
