Art Senses Mentorship Programme 2025/26
Six-month mentorship exploring sensory dimensions in artistic practice, guided by artist duo A.A.Murakami. Open call deadline: December 5, 2025.
Art Senses is a new mentorship programme conceived by Therme Art that explores the sensory dimensions in artistic practice. The programme supports works that engage the senses—alone or in combination—unlocking cross-modal pathways of perception and inspiring wellbeing and new ways of experiencing the world.
The debut 2025/26 edition, titled "Sensing the Invisible," invites artists to explore perception beyond sight through ephemeral, interactive, and multisensory experiences. The programme is guided by a distinguished jury and supports artists whose work activates cross-modal pathways of perception, creating immersive encounters that are felt, inhabited, and experienced rather than solely observed.
Mentor: Tokyo/London-based artist duo A.A.Murakami is renowned for pioneering sensory installations using ephemeral elements such as bubbles, fog, scent, and vapor to transform intangible forces into immersive experiences.
Jury Members: Jane Withers (Curator), Fatoş Üstek (Curator & Writer), Marc Spiegler (Cultural strategist), and Tino Sehgal (Artist).
Awards: From the open call, three artists will be shortlisted, each receiving a 1,000 EUR artist fee. One will be named Art Senses Artist of the Year, receiving a 10,000 EUR award, dedicated mentorship with A.A.Murakami, and resources to develop their project further.
Eligibility: Open to artists working across all mediums and disciplines, aged 18 years or older. Artists of all nationalities based anywhere in the world are welcome to apply. Individual artists or collectives may apply.
