Artist Roster for The ACT Arts Centre - Maple Ridge

Open call for local artists to join the roster for The ACT Arts Centre in Maple Ridge, offering access to exhibitions, performances, and public art.

The City of Maple Ridge is seeking artists, performers, and creatives to build a new artist roster for The ACT Arts Centre as they take over operations on January 1st. The roster welcomes diverse artistic disciplines including muralists, painters, performers, dancers, comedians, entertainers, doodlers, sketch artists, musicians, vocalists, digital or multimedia creators, sculptors, installation artists, jewelry makers, and fabric and textile artists. Artists on the roster will become part of a growing network of local creatives with early access to public art calls, community events, and ACT performances. They will help shape the cultural landscape of the city while celebrating and sharing their work with the community. The roster comprises pre-qualified artists who can provide original artwork for exhibitions, performances, public art projects, and community activities. This transition opens doors to new opportunities including expanded public art and artist-in-residence programs, increased community engagement, and fresh cultural performances. The initiative aims to maintain The ACT as a welcoming and inclusive space that supports artists, audiences, and the entire community. Eligibility is open to artists living in Maple Ridge or members of the Katzie, Kwantlen, Golden Ears Metis, or urban Indigenous communities.
