The Artists' Program is a prestigious 18-month intensive training program offered by the Art Center of Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Buenos Aires, running from March 2026 to June 2027. This program is designed for artists from all disciplines, writers, critics, and curators interested in intensive training, debate, and production.
The program will be located on the 12th floor of a corporate building in downtown Buenos Aires, offering panoramic views of the city and Río de la Plata, positioned at the epicenter of the local contemporary art circuit surrounded by galleries, museums, and artist-run spaces.
Under the artistic direction of Diego Bianchi, the 2026-27 edition focuses on critical reflection and action on artistic practice, exploring the time and space we inhabit and invoking the power of art in relation to contemporary issues. The program is organized around three interconnected pillars: language, media, and world.
The curriculum includes intensive workshops led by renowned practitioners including Camila Marambio, Ana Paula Cohen, Jon Mikel Euba, Teddy Williams, Alejandro Cesarco, and Eduardo Navarro. Thomas Hirschhorn will lead a special workshop and performative lecture. Theoretical seminars coordinated by Graciela Speranza, Pablo Schanton, Julieta Massacese, Claudio Iglesias, and Mariano Mayer explore topics including new materialisms, feminist epistemologies, countercultures, and contemporary art practices.
Participants receive regular guidance from experienced tutors including Leo Estol, Julian D'Angiolillo, Irene Kopelman, Julieta García Vázquez, Luis Garay, Marcela Sinclair, Joaquin Aras, Carlos Huffmann, Leticia Obeid, and Irina Kirchuk. The program offers collective workspace for unrestricted use during the first year, functioning as an observatory and laboratory. From March to June 2027, participants prepare for the Final Exhibition where their projects will be presented.
