Artitude Artist Community Residency - Derry

Two 10-month residencies (£20,000 each) for socially engaged artists focused on climate justice and circular economy in Derry City & Strabane.

Artitude: Climate, Culture & Circularity is offering two exceptional 10-month, place-based community residencies running from October 2025 to July 2026 in Derry City & Strabane. This opportunity is open to artists from any discipline who demonstrate experience in socially engaged, co-designed practice and show a strong commitment to climate justice and the circular economy. One residency position will be based in the Triax area of Derry City, while the second will be located in the Faughan DEA (District Electoral Area). Each residency comes with a substantial fee of £20,000, providing artists with the financial support needed to focus on their community-based practice. The residencies are designed for artists who are passionate about creating meaningful change through their work, particularly in relation to environmental and social issues. Successful candidates will be expected to engage deeply with local communities, developing collaborative projects that address climate concerns while promoting circular economy principles. This is an excellent opportunity for established artists to make a significant impact while developing their practice in a supportive, community-focused environment. The program appears to be part of a broader initiative connecting culture, climate action, and sustainable practices.
