Artlink Exhibition Open Call 2027
Emerging and under-recognised visual artists can exhibit at Artlink in Inishowen. Four-week exhibition with €1,000 fee and professional support.
Artlink, a professional visual art organisation based at Fort Dunree in Inishowen, Donegal, has announced an open call for its 2027 exhibition programme. This opportunity is designed to support emerging and under-recognised visual artists working across all fine art media, including painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, and other visual disciplines.
The exhibition programme at Artlink supports both emerging and established artists working locally, nationally, and internationally. The organisation seeks innovation rooted in its local context alongside distinctive and inspiring work from further afield. The programme comprises invited projects, partnerships with other organisations, and proposals selected through open calls.
Selected artists will receive significant support throughout the process, including curatorial guidance and mentoring from Artlink's Creative Leadership Team. Technical support and installation guidance will be provided during preparation and presentation of the exhibition. Additionally, artists will benefit from exhibition promotion and professional documentation.
Each exhibiting artist will receive a four-week exhibition period at Artlink in 2027, along with an exhibition fee of €1,000. An opening reception will be hosted for each exhibition, and promotional support including press materials and public relations will be provided to ensure the exhibition reaches a wide audience.
To be eligible, applicants must have an established arts practice outside of an academic context for a minimum of two years. Proposals should clearly demonstrate how the artist intends to challenge and test their practice and explain how the work is relevant to the Inishowen location.
Note: Transport of artwork remains the responsibility of the artist.
