Wisconsin's 47th annual ArtsWest juried exhibition seeks submissions from artists 18+. $1,250 in prizes available. Deadline: January 20, 2026.

ArtsWest 47 is an open call for submissions to Wisconsin's premier annual juried exhibition, now celebrating its 47th anniversary. This prestigious event invites professional, amateur, and student artists from across Wisconsin to submit their original works for consideration. The exhibition will be held from March 16 through May 19, 2026, at the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

The exhibition will be juried by Madison Hager, curator for the Center for the Visual Arts in Wausau, Wisconsin. Hager brings significant expertise in contemporary art practices, with a focus on gendering of work, domestic space, and multidisciplinary approaches including performance art, sewing, and installations. Her curatorial vision ensures a diverse and high-quality selection of artworks.

ArtsWest has a strong tradition of receiving over 200 submissions annually from creatives working across various mediums. For 2026, the juror will select 30 works for the final exhibition. Total prize money of $1,250 will be distributed among winners: Best of Show ($500), First Prize ($350), Second Prize ($250), and Third Prize ($150).

A public reception will be held on March 19, 2026, from 6-7:30 PM at the library, where awards will be announced and visitors can meet the featured artists. This is a no-entry-fee opportunity, making it accessible to all eligible artists.

The submission deadline is January 20, 2026. Artists may submit up to two original pieces completed since January 1, 2024. All media are acceptable, including painting, sculpture, photography, beadwork, fiber arts, pottery, and digital works. Work must be appropriate for public display and cannot have been previously exhibited in ArtsWest.
